Our History
Our congregation started in September of 1994 under the name: Spirit & Truth Int'l Ministries. Then, with just his family and a few committed friends, Pastor Ray launched out in obedience to God in the basement of his Mount Vernon home. Propelled by a strong sense of God's desire to heal brokenness in individuals and families, this small Bible Study grew into what is now a strong and vibrant local church. Today people gather weekly to receive instruction from God's Word - the Bible.

In September of 2001 the name of our church was changed to Family Christian Center. This was triggered by two key things: first, it was the result of God's vision for the restoration of families becoming clearer to us, and secondly, the desire to have a name that was more descriptive of who we had become as a church. Today with a growing membership of over three hundred, and some 40 small groups dispersed throughout Westchester, Rockland, the Bronx and Queens, FCC is fast becoming the place for those in search of something other than the usual church experience.
